What is Ridge Recovery?

Peachtree Ridge High School (PRHS) has implemented multiple options for students to recover lost credit:

Credit Recovery via GA Virtual is ONLY available to SENIORS.
School Plus is available for all grade levels as well as summer school & other innovative intervention programs.

School Plus

Session 1 Information

Session 1 Registration: June 16, 2025 - August 5, 2025
Course Starts: August 6, 2025
Course Ends: October 1, 2025

Final Exam (in person):

October 2, 2025 - Math and Social Studies Courses - 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm (Location TBD)
October 3, 2025 - Language Arts and Science Courses - 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm (Location TBD)

School Plus Eligibility & Important Factors Confirmation

School Plus Registration is open for students via MyPaymentPlus. We will be piloting a program called Imagine Learning for the district. School Plus provides students with the opportunity to engage in a blended model of instruction, with Georgia Certified Teachers available to students Monday-Sunday. School Plus is a much more in depth learning experience than credit recovery.

Benefits to School Plus:

NCAA Approved for Student Athletics
$125 per course (.5 credits) (Half the cost of GOC, Summer School, GVS)
GCPS AKS Instructional Pacing and Rigor
Live tutoring and academic support 7 days a week
Translations up to 32 different languages for bi-lingual support (assessments are in English)

Create a GA Virtual Account

Click here to access the GA Virtual Account Creation
Click Create Student Account.
Fill out ALL fields marked in yellow, include the following information:
1. Out of State Resident: No
2. Student Type: Public
3. District: Gwinnett County
4. School: Peachtree Ridge High School
5. E-mail: Use your personal e-mail, not your school e-mail.
6. Race: Click No for all that don’t apply.
7. Guardian: Add one Parent/Guardian.
Click the Save button. A window will pop up with your Username and Temporary Password.
Take a picture of your Username and Password or write them down.
Log in to your GA Virtual account.
Go to Edit Account.
Enter your temporary password and create your own password. Your new password must contain:
1. At least one uppercase letter
2. At least one lowercase letter
3. At least one number
4. At least one symbol (e.g., Example: Lions2025!)

Credit Recovery Eligibility & Important Factors Confirmation

By signing up for credit recovery, you are acknowledging that the following conditions for eligibility have been met:

The student received a final grade between (50%-69%). The failing grade must be posted before being eligible to participate in credit recovery. Students with grades below 50% must retake the class at Peachtree Ridge High School or Summer School.
The student has been in attendance at least 80% of the instructional days of the course. Students with chronic absenteeism do not qualify for credit recovery and must take the class over at Peachtree Ridge High School or Summer School.
Seniors who do not qualify under these conditions may file an appeal. Click here to submit an appeal.

(Please do not submit payment if eligibility requirements have not been met. Refunds will be distributed after the Credit Recovery Session has closed.)

Other Important Factors:

Students can only recover 1 full credit per Session (or two .5 credits). See the list below of approved courses. Counselors will approve the most appropriate course(s) for students to take in credit recovery that aligns with their intervention plan.
Credit recovery class availability begins at the start of the help session, not when signed up on MyPaymentPlus. It does take the team time to ensure eligibility and approve courses.
Credit Recovery is not NCAA-approved for student-athletes.
1st Semester Credit Recovery courses must be completed by December 16, 2025. 2nd Semester Credit Recovery courses must be completed by April 21, 2026. Courses not completed by the deadline will be deleted, and students must register for another Credit Recovery Session and start over with their progress.
The credit recovery fee covers lab and program navigation support with a staff member at Peachtree Ridge HS and support intervention programs/resources at Peachtree Ridge HS. In-person is highly recommended, and we have seen a significantly higher number of students being successful in staying after school than completing the program independently.
