The Peachtree Ridge Band class focuses on the development of fundamental techniques necessary for performance at the high school level. The development of individual technical ability and group awareness is the class’ primary focus. Band wind/percussion literature will be used to develop these concepts. Students will also use a variety of writing, listening, and individual playing assignments to demonstrate the mastery of the AKS.

The Peachtree Ridge Chorus is made up of five ensembles that perform throughout the year. Chorus students are routinely selected for various prestigious events, including Governors Honors Program, All-State Chorus, and All-National Honor Chorus. Students spend time in class learning appropriate vocal technique, music theory, music history, and performance skills. Come sing with us!

Do you want to bring your own music to life? Then music technology is the class for you! Students will use Apple Software to create, compose, produce, and record their own music. If you are looking to release the next great pop song, country music hit,

or orchestral symphony students will learn the skills necessary to reach their musical goals, even if they have no prior experience.

The Peachtree Ridge Orchestra program serves a wide range of instrumentalists from beginners to advanced students planning to pursue music in higher education. Orchestra courses teach and build upon fundamental skills necessary for performance throughout high school. Through the study of orchestral music, students develop individual technical ability and ensemble awareness as well as interpersonal skills, empathy, communication, listening, and time management. All orchestra ensembles perform at least two concerts per semester and participate in community outreach events and chamber ensembles.
